Identify the Real Culprit in this History Teacher Murder Mystery

In today’s riddles challeng, there is a murder mystery of a history teacher.

It was the first day of the new academic year at Greenwood High School. Students were excited, teachers were preparing lessons, and the corridors were filled with fresh energy.

But by noon, the cheerful atmosphere turned into a panic scene and became a mysterious scene. The beloved history teacher, Mr Rajan, was found murdered in his classroom.

The campus was sealed after this murder was noticed, and immediately, Mr Cassano, who is again the investigator of this mystery case, arrived at the school.

However, four people were present at the incident and quickly became prime suspects:

  1. The landscaper

  2. The math teacher

  3. The basketball coach

  4. The principal

Detective Cassano arrived at the scene. He always had to be calm, observant, and sharp-minded; he began questioning each suspect one by one.

1. The Landscaper’s Alibi said, “I was outside mowing the lawn the whole morning,” he said nervously. “You can check the grass field.” The lawn indeed looked freshly cut.

2. The Math Teacher’s Alibi said, “I was busy giving a mid-year test to my students,” the math teacher explained confidently. “They were all in the examination hall.” Several students confirmed they were writing a test.

3. The Basketball Coach’s Alibi said, “I was in the gym running practice drills with my team,” the coach replied. “We have an inter-school match next month.” A few players supported his statement.

4. The Principal’s Alibi said, “I was in my office handling paperwork,” she said firmly. “First day procedures and admissions take time.” Everything seemed normal.

But Mr Cassano didn’t hesitate and arrested the real culprit.

But, for you all, there is still something to be solved, and there is a big question for you all: How did the investigator know who the murderer was, and why?

Solution: Who is the real Culprit?

So, are you ready to uncover the truth behind this school murder mystery? It was clearly mentioned that this incident happened on the first day of school.

Now, recall all the suspect’s statements again,

  • The landscaper said he was mowing the lawn.

  • The basketball coach said he was running practice drills.

  • The principal said she was in her office handling first-day paperwork.

  • The math teacher said he was giving a mid-year test.

Did something feel strange? Let’s think logically.

How can there be a mid-year test on the first day of school? Mid-year exams happen in the middle of an academic session — not at the very beginning.
