The day started with Sawan Barwal winning the silver medal in the Men's Marathon Final. Barwal clocked 2:11:37, setting a new national record, while Japan's Ichitaka Yamashita won the gold medal with a timing of 2:10:49. 

Another silver medal came in shooting, where Tilottama Sen, Vidarsa Vinod and Ashi Chouksey combined for a score of 1763 points to finish second in the Women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions Team Final.

India then added another medal in squash. The Indian mixed doubles pair of Joshna Chinappa and Velavan Senthilkumar lost to Hong Kong, China to win bronze, The Indian pair lost the closely fought match 10-11, 11-2, 10-11.

The recent addition is Gold medal in womens kabbadi final where India women beaten Iran by 37-34. 

With several important events still scheduled, India will look to add more medals as the action continues in Aichi-Nagoya.
