RRB ALP Syllabus 2026: The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has officially released the RRB ALP Syllabus 2026 and exam pattern through the notification CEN No. 01/2025. A total of 9,970 vacancies have been announced for the Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) post. Candidates must clearly understand the complete RRB ALP syllabus and exam pattern for all selection stages, including CBT 1, CBT 2, and CBAT.

According to the official RRB ALP syllabus, CBT 1 consists of questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness & Current Affairs. The CBT 2 stage includes the same core subjects along with Basic Engineering and a Trade-Specific Paper (Part B), making it more technical in nature.

RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2026

The RRB ALP Exam Pattern 2026 is designed to assess candidates through three selection stages, CBT 1, CBT 2, and the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT). Candidates must understand the latest ALP paper pattern to plan preparation smartly and score well in the exam.

RRB ALP CBT 2 Exam Pattern 2026

Candidates who qualify CBT 1 are eligible to appear for RRB ALP CBT 2. This stage evaluates both technical knowledge and general aptitude and is divided into Part A and Part B.

RRB ALP CBAT 2026 (Psycho Test)

The Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBAT) is conducted exclusively for the Assistant Loco Pilot post. Only candidates who qualify CBT 2 are called for this stage.

  • Minimum qualifying score of 42 marks in each test battery

  • No negative marking

  • Questions are available in Hindi and English

  • 70% weightage from CBT 2 Part A

  • 30% weightage from CBAT
