These are known as the City Intimation Slip and Admit Card. It is rather simple to get confused between these two documents. However, both have different uses. For candidates appearing for JEE Main 2026, it is very important to recognize that City Intimation Slip and Admit Card are two different documents that are generated and distributed by National Testing Agency (NTA) at different points in time.
JEE Main 2026 Biometric Verification
NTA has made a new provision of Bio-Metrics Verification for NTA JEE Main 2026 Exam. Bio-Metrics Verification of JEE Main 2026 will be done at examination centres before reporting at a particular examination centre. Bio-Metrics Verification of JEE Main 2026 includes Face Recognition and Fingerprint Recognition. Candidates are not allowed at NTA JEE Main 2026 examination centres until they complete Bio-Metrics Verification Process of NTA JEE Main 2026 Exam. The NTA JEE Main 2026 examination of Session 1 will take place between January 21st and 24th of 2026, and on 28th and 29th January 2026.
