Central Sector Scholarship for SC Students: The Scheme will operate in all the institutions notified by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for FY 2024-25 to 2025-26. The scholarship, once awarded, will continue till the completion of the course, subject to satisfactory performance of the student. The scheme aims to give full financial support to meritorious SC candidates who secure admission in premier institutions such as IITs, IIMs, NITs, AIIMS, NLUs, NIFTs, and other notified institutions. The scholarship covers tuition fees, non-refundable charges, and academic allowances.

Central Sector Scholarship for SC Students Eligibility
To apply for the Central Sector Scholarship for SC Students, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility conditions:

Category: The student must belong to the SC category which is the pre-requisite.

Annual Family Income: The annual family income of the student applying for this scholarship must not exceed ₹ 8 lakh per annum.

Notified Institution: The student must have enrolled in a notified institution under the scheme.
Who Is NOT Eligible to Avail Central Sector Scholarship for SC Students?

The scholarship will be terminated if the student fails to get promoted to the next semester/class. However, once such a student gets promoted to the next class, the scholarship shall be released suo moto.

In case a student changes his/her institute/college after getting selected under the scheme, his/her scholarship will be discontinued and he/she will not be eligible for further scholarship under this scheme.
Benefits of Central Sector Scholarship for SC Students
The SC students, who secure admission in the notified institutions, will be awarded scholarship to meet the requirements for:

Full tuition fee and non-refundable charges (there will be a ceiling of ₹ 2 lakh per annum per student for private sector institutions

Academic allowance of ₹ 86,000 in the first year of study and ₹ 41,000 in every subsequent year, to take care of living expenses, books and stationery, computer/laptop of reputed brand with accessories like UPS and printer, etc.
Duration of Central Sector Scholarship for SC Students
The scholarship, once granted, continues till the completion of the course, provided the student maintains satisfactory academic performance and gets promoted to the next semester or class. The benefits under the scholarship will be ceased if the student fails academically to get promoted to next year/semester. But, the benefit gets continued once he/she passes the examination for the given year/semester.
