Candidates appearing for the AFCAT examination must carry all the required documents and items to the AFCAT exam centre. Entry to the exam hall is allowed only after proper verification, so it is important to bring the following essentials:

  • AFCAT Admit Card (printed copy)

  • Aadhaar Card of the candidate

  • One additional valid photo ID proof, such as PAN Card, Passport, Driving Licence, Voter ID, or any other government-issued identity card containing the candidate’s name, father’s name, and date of birth

  • Two recent passport-size colour photographs

  • Ballpoint pen (blue or black) for signing the attendance sheet and for rough work

Items Prohibited Inside AFCAT Exam Centre 2026

Candidates are not allowed to carry the following items into the AFCAT 2026 exam hall:

  • Electronic and communication devices such as Bluetooth devices, calculators, mobile phones, smartwatches, electronic watches with calculator features, docu-pens, memory cards or sticks, pagers, personal digital assistants (PDA), concealed microphones or cameras, earphones, radios, headsets, walkmans, recorders, translators, and similar gadgets

  • Study and stationery items including pencil boxes, books, geometry boxes, loose papers, log tables, clipboards, slide rules, or any written material

  • Personal belongings like wristwatches, wristbands, bracelets, handbags, wallets, purses, ornaments, headgear, scarves, goggles, jackets, food items, and other personal accessories

AFCAT Dress Code 2026

Candidates must follow the prescribed AFCAT dress code on the exam day:

  • Only slippers or sandals with flat heels are allowed

  • Closed footwear, including shoes, is strictly prohibited

  • Clothes with large buttons are not permitted

  • Candidates wearing religious attire will be allowed but will undergo thorough security frisking

AFCAT Exam Day Guidelines 2026

Candidates appearing for the AFCAT 2025 examination must strictly follow the exam day instructions issued by the Indian Air Force (IAF). These guidelines help ensure a smooth verification process and hassle-free entry into the exam centre.

  • Requests for change of exam centre or exam date will not be accepted

  • Candidates must put their thumb impression on the admit card at home before reaching the exam centre

  • The signature on the admit card must be done only in front of the invigilator

  • It is advised to locate the exam centre in advance to avoid last-minute delays
