Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025: The Viksit Bharat Buildathon 2025 was inaugurated by Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and other dignitaries today, October 13, 2025. Over 3 Lakh schools from across the country are participating in the hackathon with over 25 lakh students. The inaugural event was conducted across various schools from 10 am to 12 noon. Schools can submit entries (photos and videos) on the portal from tomorrow, October 14 to 31, 2025.
Teams of students from classes 6 to 12 from various schools can showcase their projects and innovations to a panel of experts who will evaluate their innovations. The evaluations are set to take place in November 2025. Winners for the first-ever Viksit Bharat Bhuldathon 2025 will be announced in January 2026. Awards will be from an Award Pool of Rs. 1 Crore, from which 10 National level winners, 100 State level winners and 1000 district level winners will be declared.
Education Minister Visits Participating Schools
Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also took the time to visit some of the schools to interact with students and check the various projects and innovations presented. The minister took on the role of a student for a day when he visited the Kendriya Vidyalaya 2 in Delhi Cantt for the event. He sat in the Class 1 classroom among the students and “learnt” the art of numbers.

He also visited DPS Mathura Road, interacting with students. He shared his amazement regarding the ideas put forth by the students, wishing them the very best for the buildathon.
