Delhi University: The University of Delhi (DU) has opened applications under its Competence Enhancement Scheme (CES) 2026, which allows people of any age and profession the chance to enrol in certain university papers along with the regular students but not for pursuing a course degree programme. This scheme is in compliance with the vision of NEP 2020 for lifelong learning and upgrading. Through this scheme, professionals and senior citizens can upgrade themselves academically. As per this scheme, a candidate will be allowed to take enrolment in two papers or 8 credits per semester.

Admission will be made based on the supernumerary seats available (10% of the sanctioned strength of a class). Learners enrolled under this scheme will have to attend classes as per schedule, attend classes regularly, do internal assessment and also give the end-semester examination along with the regular students. After completion of the course, credits will be awarded and duly registered by the university.
