Arsenal Beat Mansfield Town 2-1 to Reach FA Cup Quarterfinals

Arsenal defeated Mansfield Town by a score of 2-1 to move into the quarterfinals of the FA Cup on March 7. This was a very close match between two sides with very different financial and competitive capabilities. The Premier League side, Arsenal, looked comfortable during most of the match, while Mansfield had to put forth some real effort to stay competitive. 

As such, while the Gunners scored twice and won the match, they did not dominate the game; Mansfield scored once and put up a great effort to pull off an upset. 

Despite some late-game pressure from the home side, the Gunners were ultimately able to maintain their lead and secure the victory. 

The Gunners will now move onto the next round in the FA Cup, while the Stags exit the tournament after putting up a fantastic effort against one of England's top teams.

Eberechi Eze was the standout player for Arsenal during their victory over Mansfield Town in the FA Cup match on March 7, 2025. He scored the all-important goal to give Arsenal the lead and ultimately the win.
