Asian Games 2026 September 28 India Results: Double Javelin Medals for India as Yashvir Singh Wins Silver and Rohit Yadav Bronze

The Asian Games 2026 has now reached its 10th day in Aichi-Nagoya, with India enduring a couple of heartbreaks in this edition of the tournament. A similar story continued on Monday, September 28 with a few medal additions as well. 

India are currently standing in 12th position with 39 medals to their name. The performance has been below par compared to the previous edition, where India made history by winning a record 107 medals.

India's day began with action in surfing, where Babu Sivaraj lost to his Philippines opponent 7.83-11.05 in the Men's Shortboard Round 3.

Meanwhile, on a positive note, two Indian archers produced strong individual performances in the Round of 16. Sahil Rajesh Jadhav and Ganesh Mani Ratnam Thirumuru both won their respective matches and qualified for the next round.

India Men’s cricket team also stormed into the semi finals after the India vs Afghanistan game washed out. 

India also secured a medal in Kurash, with Pincky Balhara winning a bronze medal in the women's 78kg category after losing in the semi-final.

However, the standout moment for India so far came in shooting, where Esha Singh won the silver medal in the women's 25m pistol individual final. Singh finished second in the gold-medal contest to add another medal to India's tally.
