Biometric details of candidates will be recorded at every stage of the recruitment process. In case of any mismatch, RRBs concerned shall reserve the right to disqualify a candidate and take appropriate legal action on that basis.

During the examination, candidates must bring their e-admit card along with a valid ORIGINAL Photo ID such as Voter ID-Card, Aadhaar card, printout of e- Aadhaar, driving license, PAN card, passport, valid identity card issued by the employer in case the candidate is a govt. employee, School / College / University photo ID card (if still studying) to the examination hall, failing which the candidates shall not be allowed to appear in the examination.

In case of SC & ST candidates who are eligible and opt for free train travel, their e-admit card itself will contain the free travel authority (sleeper class railway pass). Such SC & ST candidates will be allowed to book train reservation by submitting a self-attested photocopy of their e-admit card and SC/ST certificate at the ticket booking counter. During the journey, SC & ST candidates should carry their original community certificate and an original prescribed proof of identity for undertaking journey failing which they will be treated as travelling without ticket and charged accordingly.

It has been clearly mentioned by the Railway Recruitment Board in the NTPC UG notification that 'no call letter will be sent to candidates by post'. Therefore, the candidates are advised to download their admit card through the official website of RRB. The download link will be available across all the regional websites of RRB.

The RRB will inform the candidates who have applied for the RRB NTPC UG examination through SMS and email about the release of the RRB NTPC UG admit card. The candidates should keep a tab on their emails as well to stay updated about the admit card release.

The candidates must first understand the selection process before heading for the recruitment examination as this will help them plan strategically for their goal. The RRB NTPC UG selection process involves three stages: CBT 1, CBT 2, and CBTST.

The RRB NTPC UG CBT 1 exam will consists of objevtive-type questions (MCQs). A total of 100 questions are there in the exam which should be completed in 90 minutes duration. Additional time will be allotted to the candidates who have opted for a scribe i.e. 120 minutes. The exam pattern is given below:

• 3 sections in the paper: General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning
• Each sections carries different marks:
  • General Awareness: 40 marks
  • Mathematics: 30 marks
  • General Intelligence & Reasoning: 30 marks

The RRB will conduct the NTPC UG examination to recruit candidates for the posts of:

• Commercial cum Ticket Clerk
• Junior Clerk cum Typist
• Accounts Clerk cum Typist
• Trains Clerk

The RRB is conducting the NTPC UG examination in two phases. Phase 1 was conducted from 07 May to 09 May and Phase 2 is now going to start from 13 June onwards and will last till 20 June. This is being done to accomodate a large number of applicants. As per reports, around 6 lakh candidates have applied for 3,058 posts.

The RRB will conduct the NTPC UG examination for Phase 2 from 13 June onwards. The exam will be conducted from 13 June to 20 June in three shifts per day. The 3 shifts are being conducted to accomodate the large number of applicants.

The RRB conducts all the recruitment examinations in online mode, menaing Computer Based Test (CBT) are conducted for the RRB recruitments. Similarly, RRB will conduct the NTPC Undergraduate examination in CBT mode.

The RRB NTPC will conduct the UG examination for a total of 3,058 vacancies. These vacancies are for the 12th-level posts. The candidates who have applied for these vacancies must gear up their preparation levels as the exam is around the corner.

The RRB NTPC UG CBT 1 examination city slip was released on 03 June 2026 on the RRBs respective websites. The candidates can check their exam city and plan their travel accordingly.

The RRB will conduct the NTPC UG Computer Based Test (CBT) 1 Phase 2 starting from 13 June onwards. The exam will go on till 20 June 2026. The admit cards will be released day-wise.

The RRB will release the NTPC UG admit card 2026 for the CBT 1 exam scheduled to be held on 13 June on its website on 09 June (expected). This date has not been mentioned anywhere on the RRB's website, but has been derived based on the previous trends.
