Diwali School Holidays 2025 In Jammu 

The Jammu and Kashmir government has announced school holidays in the Jammu division for Diwali and other festivals. All government and private schools up to the higher secondary level will remain closed from October 19 to November 2, 2025. Earlier, schools were also shut on October 6 and 7 due to heavy rainfall. These holidays will give students time to celebrate festivals and enjoy with their families.

Schools Closed in Jammu and Kashmir

All government and private schools in Jammu and Kashmir were closed on October 6 and 7 due to heavy rain and bad weather. This was not because of Valmiki Jayanti, but to keep students safe. People were advised to stay careful as the weather continued to cause problems.

Eid-il-Milad-ul-Nabi Holiday On Friday?

Schools in Jammu and Kashmir will remain closed tomorrow, Friday, September 12, 2025, on account of Eid-il-Milad-ul-Nabi. This festival is important as it marks the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad and is observed with great devotion across the Union Territory. The holiday provides students and teachers an opportunity to participate in prayers, community gatherings, and celebrations. Parents and students are must check with their school notifications for the official holiday. 

Jammu and Kashmir Summer Holidays List 2025

All government and private schools in Kashmir will observe a 15-day summer vacation starting today, from June 23, 2025, due to the heatwave conditions in the region. The decision was made by the authorities to ensure the safety and well-being of the students in the region. Srinagar, in particular, has experienced record-breaking temperatures for June. Students can enjoy the summer break and spend some quality time with their parents.
